  • ITT_10208 - Grant Opportunity for Young Adults in the West Midland (WM) Probation Region

    HMPPS are please to announces the launch of a Probation Grant opportunity to support Young Adults aged 18 to 25 years within the West Midland Probation Region, which launched on 28th Jan 2026. Deadline for submitting applications is 23rd Feb 2026 at 10:00am. A total funding pot of £100,000 is available across the West Midlands for individual projects. Funding will be allocated across three Lots; Lot 1 (Birmingham); Lot 2 (Dudley/Sandwell); Lot 3 (Walsall/Wolverhampton). To be eligible to apply, organisations must be successfully onboarded onto the Probation Grants Application Portal and registered to deliver within the West Midlands Probation Region.   • The Jobs Guarantee

    The Jobs Guarantee will provide a fully subsidised six-month paid job to eligible 18–21 year olds who have been on Universal Credit and looking for work for 18 months. Through the scheme, the government will fund 100% of eligible employment costs for 25 hours a week at the relevant minimum wage, alongside wrap-around support to help participants succeed on the scheme and transition into sustained employment. Beginning with Phase One from Spring 2026, the Department for Work and Pensions will award grants to selected delivery organisations in the following areas: Birmingham & Solihull, East Midlands, Greater Manchester, Hertfordshire & Essex, Central & East Scotland, Southwest & Southeast Wales.

  • ATE Multimodal Level of Service Research and Tool Development

    The Multi-Modal Level of Service (MMLoS) project will develop a robust tool to evaluate how streets across England support sustainable and active transport. The tool will clarify how the allocation of space and time -particularly motor traffic – affects the experience and performance of walking, wheeling, cycling, and public transport. This will enable policymakers and practitioners to understand better the trade-offs between modes in a more consistent and transparent manner. Outputs from the project – including evidence, methodological guidance, and a proof-of-concept assessment tool - and will inform best practice, support knowledge sharing with local authorities, and influence future guidance for safe, inclusive, and effective multi-modal infrastructure.

  • HMPPS Small Grants Scheme Positive Parenting for Dads HMP High Down

    HMP High Down is a large prison near Sutton, Surrey and home to 1203 Adult Male Convicted Prisoners. We wish an organisation to deliver parenting programmes that will equip fathers with practical parenting tools to help them maintain meaningful relationships with their children whilst in custody, with an emphasise the importance of consistent communication and emotional presence, even from custody. We would like to the courses to mirror community delivery. As highlighted in the Lord Farmer Report, the breakdown of family ties is a key factor contributing to reoffending. Our aim is to break the cycle by helping fathers recognise that despite being in custody, they still have an essential role to play in their children’s lives.
