  • Manchester Prize

    The Manchester Prize is a multi-year challenge prize funded by the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology to reward UK-led breakthroughs in artificial intelligence for the public good. Now in its second year, teams are invited to submit innovative AI to accelerate progress towards a net zero energy systems. Up-to 10 of the most promising solutions will receive £100,000 in seed funding, up to £60,000 of compute and additional non-financial support to develop products capable of winning the £1 million grand prize in spring 2026.

  • National Witness Service

    The Witness Service has been available in all Criminal Courts in England and Wales since 2003. The core purpose of the Service is to meet emotional and practical needs of witnesses and support them to give their best evidence. The key elements of the support offered by the Service are: • To provide information to witnesses about their rights and the process of giving evidence, including the role they play in the Criminal Justice System; • To arrange and conduct pre-trial visits to court buildings, helping witnesses to familiarise themselves with the court building; • Greet witnesses on the day in Court, acting as a generally supportive presence and supporting HMCTS staff in guiding witnesses through court buildings. Some witnesses may also require additional support or outreach.

  • Heritage Management Plan Grant

    To be awarded in financial year 2025 to 2026. Funding of up to 50% towards consultant’s eligible costs of preparing a Heritage Management Plan or associated study or survey. Available only for land in England of outstanding Scenic, historic or scientific interest designated by HMRC (or recommended by Natural England for designation) for conditional exemption from inheritance tax. Applicants must be landowners or Trustees or their authorised agent. Do not apply unless your land is or will be subject to conditional exemption or Maintenance Fund undertakings. Scheduled monuments, grade 1 or 2 star listed buildings or grade 1 or 2 star registered parks/gardens, capital works, revenue or annual works, detailed design proposals, planning applications or commercial development are not eligible.
